Desiring a more visible presence in the Jackson metro area, Mississippi Federal Credit Union constructed a new 13,000-square-foot office building in the heavily trafficked Colony Park area of Ridgeland, MS. The new two-story building serves as the new headquarters for the credit union. Large storefront windows and an open lobby area impart architectural appeal to the office. A separate drive-thru ITM structure is provided adjacent to the office building for convenience.

The structure is comprised of structural steel moment frames. Open web steel joists spanning between steel beams support concrete on metal deck at the second floor and metal roof deck at the roof. A rooftop screen wall supported by structural steel frames conceals the rooftop mechanical equipment from the nearby Interstate 55 traffic. A shallow foundation system consisting of a stiffened concrete slab-on-grade and spread footings supports the structure.
