The new, approximately 12,500-square-foot Mississippi State University softball field house is located down the left field foul line of the existing Nusz Park, between the softball stadium and the indoor tennis facility. Aside from the new field house, the project also included the new bullpen, walk-off track, and flatwork. Smithers Engineers performed civil engineering services for site layout, grading and drainage, handicap accessibility, utilities, and erosion control. This project was designed to fit within the confines of the existing site, while minimizing interference with softball and other activities in the area.
