Several new Take 5 Oil Change facilities have been constructed throughout Mississippi. Smithers Engineers has had the honor of providing structural engineering services on several new facilities including Pascagoula, Flowood, and two locations in Madison. In Flowood, Pascagoula, and one Madison location the new facility is approximately 1,700 square feet with three bays, with the smaller Madison location only having two bays.

Although the structures are slightly different, they are constructed similarly, with wood framing. Wood walls serve as the gravity and lateral load-bearing elements, supporting wood roof trusses that span the width of the building. The foundation varies at each site depending on site conditions.
