Smithers Engineers provides civil engineering services for site and land development. Working closely with a wide clientele including, but not limited to, business owners, property managers, architects, contractors, universities, school districts, municipalities, and developers we are experienced in the development of a wide range of site types ranging from multi-acre undeveloped sites to existing new sites in existing developed sites with tight spatial constraints. Site design can involve the design and layout of parking lots, drainage facilities, and roadways amongst a variety of other items. Working closely with the owner and design team to understand project goals and desires is an important part of developing any site. Site development also requires working closely with governing authorities to obtain permits and understanding the requirements of developing a new site in a certain area. Understanding the surrounding area and coordinating with utility providers is important when designing the utilities for each site. Our design on previously developed sites often requires maximizing the space available, while keeping the project budget and owner desires in mind. Designing the site for accessibility in accordance with ADA regulations is always an essential focus.
